Cold Water Cave

Dive Area

This is one of the small but most interesting caves in Aşı Bay.

It is a short dive site but when you complete all regular dives and at the end of the day you want to make another shallow dive, do not miss this place. Be aware, since the entrance is very silty, a high degree of buoyancy is required.

Turn on your flashlight and enter one by one as it is quite narrow, go forward bearing right for 10-15 metres over a sandy area, here you will pass through the halocline (salt/fresh water interface) and visibility will drop, keep going across then some gravel as it gets shallower, then you can stand up and remove your regulator. It is recommended that divers who get cold quickly should not dive here in short or thin clothes.

When you leave the cave, you can get back to the boat by crossing the sandy/gravelly area, 8-10 metres, areas of Posidonia grass too, heading 30-40 degrees to the right until you find the anchor chain or boat.
