Dive Area
Kızılada is the large island at the entrance to Fethiye Harbour. Its lighthouse, built by the French in 1910, is the area’s most distinctive landmark.
The dive follows the rocky structure around the lighthouse, a deepening depression, a small cave and rock formations resembling an amphitheatre. September and October can be especially enjoyable months for diving here.

- Kızılada at the entrance to Fethiye Harbour, around the lighthouse. 36°39.137′ N, 29°02.613′ E
- Entry
- From the support boat at the headland on the south-western end of the lighthouse.
- Route
- Proceed south to 20–25 metres; follow the depression descending to 35–40 metres, the small cave at 35 metres and the amphitheatre-shaped rock section at 18–20 metres. Keep the island on the left while returning to the bay.

- Main route 20–25 m; depression and cave area 35–40 m.

- Visibility
- Surface water may be turbid depending on the season; visibility returns to normal below 7–8 metres.
- Marine Life
- Groupers, red shrimp, moray eels and octopus; rich flora and fauna.
- Safety
- The cave at 35 metres is narrow and bottom sediment is easily disturbed; it is suitable for only a small number of divers at a time.
- Exit
- Continue with the island on the left, returning to the bay and the boat.
